'We received a very warm welcome from the hosts, who have recently taken over the running of this B & B. The room (room 3) is highly recommended. Two huge windows with a sea view. The location is 2 mins walk from the centre of Whitby. We travelled on a motorbike and the hosts very kindly allowed us to park in their back yard. The B & B is extremely clean and the breakfast choice is plentiful. '

'The Lavinia house is an exceptional guest house. The rooms were excellent very spacious decorated and presented to a high standard and very clean they where equipped for all your needs and more,the views from our room was fabulous.The new owners john and Sarah were a very friendly and helpful couple nothing was to much trouble,the food was to a very high standard. I would highly recommend staying at Lavinia house.'

'Dear John & Sarah
Just wanted to thank you both for the hospitality you provided for our 2 night stay. It was a shame you couldn't provide us with excellent weather, but as I understand from yourselves Whitby is never a 'hotspot'.We had a great time and Room 2 was just what a '2 day break' required along with the fabulous breakfast. We would always recommend yourselves and will certainly use you again when next in your area.

Hope the fishing goes well - we are off to Cornwall next month for a sailing week, so we definitely need sun and wind!.
